Job summary

St. Joseph’s Health, part of Trinity Health, seeks an RN for a full-time Day Shift in the Cardiovascular Lab. Work 4 ten-hour shifts with some on-call.

Join a team performing invasive cardiac diagnostics, structural heart procedures, ablations and vascular interventions in a five-room suite. You will collaborate with invasive cardiologists, vascular surgeons and nurses to coordinate care from admission to discharge, monitor patients during procedures, and ensure accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program and NY RN licensure.
• Minimum 1 year med-surg or critical care experience preferred.
• BSN degree preferred according to NYS requirements.
• GN or RN with <1 year may apply to Graduate Nurse Residency.
• Maintains all licensures and certifications as per NYS regulations.
• Engages in continuing education to maintain clinical skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians, LPNs and RNs to provide optimal care.
• Assess, plan, implement, coordinate, monitor and evaluate patient care.
• Monitor procedures and assist with care modalities during labs.
• Coordinate care transitions across the continuum within procedural area.
• Ensure accurate documentation in the patient record and maintain quality metrics.
• Mentor and support students and new colleagues.
