Job summary

Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System Inc seeks an Cardiovascular Interventional Technologist II to support physician procedures in interventional, cardiovascular, and operating room settings in Monroe, LA. You’ll produce diagnostic images and follow imaging protocols to ensure patient safety and physician guidance.

The role includes pre/post patient education, competency assessment of staff, and involvement in radiation protection with a strong emphasis on training new imaging techs

Qualifications

• Assists in interventional, cardiovascular and operating room procedures.
• Delivers pre and post education to patients and families.
• Evaluates competency of others in cath lab, EP, or interventional radiology.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate departmental inventory and resources.
• Mentor and train imaging tech I staff.
• Support departmental radiation protection initiatives.
• Assist with departmental education and annual lead vest surveys.

**$15,000 Sign-On Bonus**

The Cardiovascular Interventional Technologist 2 assists the physician in performing interventional, cardiovascular, and operating room procedures. Produces images to actively assist the attending physician. Uses pre-established imaging protocols and departmental policy to perform safe operation of imaging equipment and all functions of the job. May provide complete pre and post education to patients and family. Able to evaluate competency level of others in cardiac cath lab, electrophysiology, and/or interventional radiology.

• mentoring and training incoming imaging tech 1’s
• aspects of departmental radiation protection
• assist with departmental education
• perform annual survey of the departmental lead vests

Reports to Supervisor or Manager.
