The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Applicants must be American Board of Radiology certified or eligible with appropriate sub-specialty training.
Teaching responsibilities may include daily clinical supervision of residents and cardiovascular imaging fellows and lecturing to medical students, radiology residents, fellows, and trainees from other departments.
Clinical responsibilities may include interpreting all aspects of cardiovascular radiology, including cardiac CT, cardiac MRI, and vascular CTA and MRA. The successful candidate will also participate in shared after-hours and weekend coverage.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include leading a focused body of research in the field of Cardiovascular Imaging. This includes novel cardiovascular imaging techniques, MR and CT physics, health services research, health policy, and artificial intelligence. The successful candidate will have prior research experience, demonstrated peer-reviewed scholarship, and be expected to mentor junior faculty developing a research career in cardiothoracic imaging.
The Penn Radiology Cardiovascular Imaging Division offers specialized expertise to the Penn Aorta Program, handling high-volume cases such as coronary CTA, structural heart disease scans, TAVR, TMVR, TTVR, and cardiac MRI. The division collaborates closely with cardiologists to provide comprehensive care.
This position requires a minimum of 3-5 years of experience. Rank will be commensurate with experience.
Penn Radiology offers clinical services at several locations including the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and affiliated outpatient centers in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
