Job summary

OU Health invites applications for an Experienced RN to join the Cardiovascular ICU on a night shift. The role requires an RN license in Oklahoma, with 3–5 years of patient care experience in a hospital setting. The RN II will provide skilled nursing care, document responses, and collaborate with physicians to deliver high-quality patient care.

Candidates should hold an Associate's or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, with BLS certification on hire. Specialty certifications are preferred.

• Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services.

Responsibilities

• Align nursing actions with OU Health values and standards.
• Assumes responsibility for an assigned patient or group of patients.
• Documents patient responses and changes in physician orders.
• Assists physicians in examinations and minor procedures.
• Monitors physiological data and intervenes when necessary.
• Administers medications as prescribed.
• Initiates, regulates and monitors IV infusions and blood products.
• Delivers patient care competently and seeks coaching as needed.
• Resolves patient complaints in a timely manner.
• Communicates care plan to patient and family at discharge.
