Job summary

North Alabama Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking an RN for the Cardiovascular ICU on a day shift. You will provide high-quality patient care, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and participate in education and growth opportunities within a fast-paced cardiac unit.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in Nursing.
• Current Alabama RN license or eligible for licensure.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Document patient care and monitor patient condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living: hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Coordinate patient care across disciplines including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.
• Provide patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
• Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

Education

Nursing degree (Assoc or higher)

RN license Alabama

BLS certification
