Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider for the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit in Birmingham, AL. This full-time role involves coordinating patient care, conducting physical assessments, and providing clinical support within the defined scope. Candidates must have a Master's degree in Nursing or equivalent training as a Physician Assistant, along with relevant certifications. The position offers a $20,000 annual PM shift stipend and a robust support system for clinical development.

Qualifications

• Master's degree and certification required; experience cannot substitute for education.
• Currently certified as an APN with CRNP Specialty.
• Certified in BLS required; ACLS and PALS may be necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care and treatment within established scope of practice.
• Coordinate plan of care, discharge, and specialty referrals.
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations and assessments.
• Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests.

Knowledge of procedures for diagnosing and treating injuries

Education

Master’s degree in Nursing with Adult Acute Care NP certification
