Job summary

Northwell Health’s Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery Service at South Shore University Hospital seeks an experienced Full-time Intensivist to join the CVICU team. The role focuses on high-level perioperative cardiothoracic critical care in an 18-bed unit with 4 step-down beds, delivering advanced cardiac care and collaborative, interdisciplinary treatment.

Fellowship training and board certification in Critical Care or Thoracic Surgery are required.

Qualifications

• Fellowship-trained candidates preferred in cardiothoracic or critical care subspecialty.
• Board certification in Critical Care or Thoracic Surgery is required.
• Subspecialty training in CTICU with applicable fellowship experience is valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert care in the Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) for pre- and postoperative cardiothoracic patients.
