Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital is seeking a Clinical Technician for the Cardiovascular Surgery Intensive Care Unit (CSICU). You will support RN staff, monitor patients, and help with post‑op cardiac care in a Magnet Hospital setting.

This role requires night shifts from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. with weekend and holiday rotation. The department emphasizes safe patient care, teamwork, and ongoing growth within the Cleveland Clinic Health System.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED.
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• One year of recent, full‑time patient care experience or nursing student with clinical rotation.
• Demonstrates competency across professional, technical and clinical domains.
• 8th grade level math and reading demonstrated.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic patient care under RN supervision (vital signs, weight, personal care).
• Transfer/transport patients and apply external monitoring devices.
• Perform phlebotomy and 12‑lead ECGs as trained.
• Assist with wound care, dressing changes, Foley catheter removal as needed.
