Job summary

Cleveland Clinic's Main Campus CVICU seeks compassionate caregivers to support critically ill cardiovascular patients in a fast-paced, high‑tech environment. You will greet new admissions, respond to call lights, assist with transfers and discharges, and guide families to resources.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of customer service experience, plus basic typing and computer skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience.
• Experience with typing, computer training or equivalent coursework.

Responsibilities

• Conduct an in-person greeting, welcome and orientation to the unit for newly admitted and transferred patients.
• Respond to patient call lights and make rounds.
• Assist with processing patient admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Assist patients and families with wayfinding and direct them to available resources.
• Assemble and maintain patient medical records and other documents related to patient care.
• Assist with unit clerical functions and in trouble‑shooting equipment failures, such as call system, portable phones, WOWs and other unit devices.
