Responsibilities
- Provide clinical education and hands‑on training for cardiac sonographers, students, and new hires.
- Oversee protocol training, image/study supervision, review, competency assessments, skills development, and continuing education in TTE, TEE and stress echo.
- Collaborate with department leaders to ensure regulatory compliance, quality standards, and staff preparedness.
- Serve as a mentor and subject‑matter expert for new technologies, protocols, and procedures.
- Assist with program development and partnerships with schools, externships, and outreach efforts.
- Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound studies as needed to support team operations, approximately 25–50% scanning of assigned patients (scanning expectations vary with number of sonographers in training).
- Be flexible to accommodate training, procedure type, schedule, and lab volumes; available for occasional evenings and/or weekend shifts.
- Have working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word and be comfortable creating and maintaining documents; working knowledge of Epic workbench reporting and Power BI is a plus.
Qualifications
- Required licenses, certifications, and/or registrations: ACLS and BLS.
- Must be an ARDMS RDCS with Adult Echocardiography (AE) or a CCI Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS).
- Advanced Cardiovascular Sonographer certification is preferred.
