Job summary

Atlantic Health in New Jersey is seeking an echocardiography technologist to perform high-quality echocardiographic exams using IAC-accredited protocols, including saline and contrast studies, while prioritizing patient safety and education.

You will perform transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) per IAC standards, document findings in a timely manner, and collaborate with physicians to support diagnostic accuracy.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) per IAC standards.
• Strong patient communication and safety focus.
• Willingness to participate in QA and performance improvement.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality echocardiographic exams using IAC-accredited protocols, including saline and contrast studies.
• Verify patient identity, explain procedures, and ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Document and report findings in a timely manner.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and team members.
• Maintain equipment and exam rooms per infection control standards.
• Participate in lab quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
• Attend required meetings, in-services, and training sessions.
• Cross-functional responsibilities include: Performs EKGs, Stress and Nuclear Stress testing, EEG, and other delegated duties with training.
• Comply with IAC Standard Protocol & utilization of saline & contrast.
