Job summary

Qualifications

• RDCS, RCS, or vascular sonographer with at least two years of echo experience.
• Current BLS certification via AHA.
• Educational training in non-invasive cardiology; basic and advanced arrhythmia training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiograms per departmental policy and physician orders.
• Provide cardiac Doppler and color flow mapping.
• Assist with Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE) as ordered.
• Provide 24/7 coverage through call rotation.
• Complete documentation and charges for services.
• Maintain infection control and clean equipment daily and between patients.
• Prepare preliminary echo reports within the reporting system.
• Communicate test results and pertinent information to physicians.
• Support schedule with equipment readiness for next day.
