Job summary

University of Wisconsin–Madison seeks a Research Nurse to join the Clinical Trials team within the Office of Research Services. You will coordinate federally funded and industry-sponsored studies, provide nursing care, and manage research protocols in collaboration with coordinators and physicians.

The role supports cardiovascular medicine with potential to cover other divisions. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, onsite, with 80–100% effort; a caregiver check is required under Wisconsin law,

Qualifications

• Two years of nursing experience required.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license required by start date.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for emergent study participant situations related to adverse effects or complications of the study.
• Prepare research participant information/consent/authorization.
• Supervise day-to-day activities of the research work unit.
• Secure and schedule logistics for clinical research projects per plan.
• Assist in recruitment and screening of subjects and conduct health assessments.
• Maintain regulatory compliance for assigned protocols (IRB, FDA, HHS, GCP).
