Job summary

Medical City Arlington, part of the HCA Healthcare family, is seeking a Cardiovascular Certified Surgical Technologist to join our cardiac surgery team. You’ll work in a state-of-the-art environment with predictable scheduling and opportunities to grow within our network.

The role requires CST certification and BCLS within 30 days, and a vocational certificate or associate degree. No experience is required; we welcome motivated professionals to advance with us.

Qualifications

• Certified Cardiovascular Surgical Technologist (CST) for the role.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date.
• Vocational School Graduate, or Certificate, or Associate Degree.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and organizing the surgical suite with instruments, equipment and supplies.
• Supporting patients with transport, positioning, prepping and draping.
• Scrubbing in and assisting the surgeon by providing instruments and handling specimens.
• Monitoring equipment and patient status during procedures and responding quickly.
• Maintaining a sterile field and supporting efficient room turnover.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and organizing the surgical suite with the right instruments, equipment, and supplies to ensure safe, efficient procedures
• Supporting patients with transport, positioning, prepping, and draping while protecting their comfort, privacy, and safety
• Scrubbing in and assisting the surgeon by providing instruments, handling specimens, and anticipating the needs of the team
• Monitoring equipment and patient status throughout procedures, taking quick, effective action when needed
• Maintaining a sterile field, ensuring thorough room turnover, and contributing to a collaborative, high-performing team culture

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
