Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join the Heart, Lung, and Vascular team and to support the development of a new cardiovascular access and triage model. The APP will help assess patient needs and connect patients with the appropriate cardiovascular subspecialty and provider.

• Conducts and documents comprehensive initial and ongoing physical examinations
• Synthesizes data to develop, implement, and evaluate the patient plan of care
• Demonstrates proficiency in procedural skills as appropriate
• Provides management, referrals, counseling, and education to patients and families
• Facilitates/participates in quality initiatives and/or clinical research protocols
• Collaborates in research projects and applies evidence-based practices to patient care
• Performs other duties as assigned
