Job summary

Overlake Medical Center is seeking a Cardiovascular/Angio Technologist to assist in diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology and Electrophysiology Lab. The role includes scrubbing, circulating and monitoring during procedures and caring for patients with implants.

Qualifications include a AA/BA/BS in Radiology or Cardiovascular Technology, ARRT/RCIS (or eligible) plus state certification, ACLS within 6 months, and 2+ years of related experience

Qualifications

• AA/BA/BS degree through an accredited Radiology or Cardiovascular Technology program required.
• ARRT Registry (or registry eligible) and State Certification as Radiologic Technologist (RT) required OR Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) (or registry eligible) and State Certification as Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (IS) required. If registry eligible, obtain registration within ninety days of hire.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
• Two years of related clinical experience preferred.
• Previous cardiac cath lab/interventional radiology/electrophysiology experience preferred.
• 24 CME credits required bi-annually.
• Mandatory AIDS education.

Responsibilities

• Scrub, circulate, and monitor during invasive cardiovascular procedures.
• Assist cardiologists and radiologists in cath lab, IR, and EP lab procedures.
• Provide care for patients with pacemaker or defibrillator implants and support non-cardiac IR procedures.
