Job summary

Chicago Cardiology Institute is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Electrophysiology team serving the Schaumburg and Oak Park communities. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced cardiovascular APP or a new graduate with a strong cardiac background and interest in electrophysiology.

Qualifications

• Board-certified NP or PA with active Illinois license (or ability to obtain).
• Strong cardiac background with interest in electrophysiology is preferred.
• New graduates with a cardiac background are encouraged to apply.
• Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills; ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with cardiovascular and electrophysiology conditions
• Conduct new patient evaluations and follow-up visits
• Manage patients with arrhythmias and other cardiovascular conditions
• Review diagnostic testing and clinical data to support treatment plans
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, nurses, and other team members
• Educate patients about diagnoses, medications, and cardiovascular health
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Develop expertise in electrophysiology within a cardiology practice

Chicago Cardiology Institute is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing Electrophysiology (EP) team serving the Schaumburg and Oak Park communities.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced cardiovascular APP or a new graduate with a strong cardiac background and interest in electrophysiology to build specialized expertise in the diagnosis and management of heart rhythm disorders.

You'll work alongside an experienced cardiology team in a collaborative environment with the opportunity to develop your EP knowledge while maintaining a predictable Monday-Friday schedule with no call responsibilities.

What You'll Do

• Evaluate and manage patients with cardiovascular and electrophysiology conditions
• Conduct new patient evaluations and follow-up visits
• Participate in the ongoing management of patients with cardiac arrhythmias and other cardiovascular conditions
• Review diagnostic testing and clinical data to support patient treatment plans
• Collaborate closely with physicians, APPs, nurses, and other members of the cardiovascular care team
• Educate patients regarding their diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and cardiovascular health
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Develop expertise in electrophysiology within a supportive cardiology practice

Who We're Looking For

• Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Active, unencumbered Illinois NP or PA license, or ability to obtain prior to start
• Previous electrophysiology or cardiology experience as an APP or Registered Nurse is preferred
• New graduates with a strong cardiac, CVICU, telemetry, electrophysiology, or cardiovascular background are encouraged to apply
• Strong interest in developing a career in electrophysiology
