OSF HealthCare's St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington, IL seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) for Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery. The role involves perioperative care, inpatient rounds, first assisting in CABG and valve surgeries, and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team.

The position includes 8- to 10-hour day shifts, shared call rotation, and opportunities for professional growth within a Magnet-designated system and full benefits package.

Qualifications

• Licensed to provide advanced practice nursing or physician assistant services in Illinois according to state acts.
• Nurse Practitioners must hold Neonatal Nurse Practitioner certification.
• Licensed to prescribe narcotics (DEA registration).
• BLS/ACLS Certification.
• ACNP certification.
• Eligible to participate in Medicare/Medicaid and other federal programs.
• Provider must meet OSF malpractice/liability coverage qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first assist in cardiothoracic and vascular surgeries (CABG, valve, aortic procedures).
• Inpatient rounds and postoperative rounds; manage pre/postoperative care.
• Order and interpret tests, labs, imaging, and consults.
• Coordinate patient care with nursing, case management, rehabilitation, and other teams.
• Participate in 8–10 hour day shifts; share call rotation and OR call support.
