Baptist Health Medical Group in Miami, FL seeks a Cardiothoracic Transplant Surgeon to join the Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute within Baptist Health Heart & Vascular Care. The team performs heart transplants, LVADs, and complex cardiothoracic procedures.

You will evaluate patients with end-stage heart failure, participate in donor procurement, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. US licensure and board certification required; competitive compensation and benefits offered.

Formación

• MD/DO from an accredited institution and board-certified/board-eligible in CT surgery.
• Active and unrestrictive medical license or eligibility by start date.
• DEA registration and controlled substance certification as required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• UNOS certification/eligibility for transplant participation.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate and manage patients with end-stage heart failure for transplant and LVAD therapy.
• Perform adult heart transplantation procedures.
• Implantation, exchange, and explantation of LVADs and other devices.
• Perform complex cardiothoracic surgeries including CABG, valve/ aortic procedures.
• Provide perioperative and postoperative care for transplant patients.
• Participate in donor organ procurement and allocation activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Serve in rotational call coverage for CTS services.
