Baptist Health Medical Group in Miami, FL, is seeking a Cardiothoracic Transplant Surgeon to join the thriving Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute. The role focuses on heart transplantation, LVAD management, and complex cardiothoracic procedures within a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate will hold an MD/DO, board certification, and unrestricted licensure, with expertise in durable LVAD implantation and meeting OPTN requirements.

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited institution.
• Active and unrestrictive medical license or eligibility.
• Board-certified or board-eligible cardiothoracic surgeon with LVAD experience.
• DEA registration and controlled substance certification as required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• UNOS Certified/Eligible.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients for heart transplantation and LVAD support.
• Perform adult heart transplantation procedures and complex cardiac surgeries.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for patient selection and management.
