Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician for locum tenens coverage in Ohio. Start ASAP with a daily pay rate of $3,104–$3,360.

Responsibilities include performing adult CTS cases such as CABG, valve repair/replacement, and revascularization, with 24-hour call shifts and 10–14 days of call per month. Credentialing is expected in ~30 days; Epic EMR used. This is hospital-based rounding in a busy setting with strong support from AMN's travel team.

Qualifications

Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery required.
Active Ohio medical license.
BLS and ACLS certifications required.
Credentialing timeframe: 30 days; emergency privileging may be considered.
Epic EMR proficiency.

Responsibilities

Perform adult cardiothoracic surgery cases.
Provide 24-hour call coverage with 10–14 days of call per month.
Coordinate care in a hospital-based rounding setting.

Schedule & Practice Setting

24‑hour call shifts, requiring 10-14 days of call coverage per month. Practice setting: Hospital‑Based Rounding.

Scope of Practice

Adult cardiothoracic surgery cases including coronary artery bypass surgery, arterial revascularization, redo coronary revascularization, pericardial window, heart valve repair/replacement, and mitral valve repair.

Credentialing & Licensure

Credentialing timeframe: 30 days; emergency privileging may be considered.
Electronic Medical Record: Epic.
Certifications required: Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
Active Ohio medical license.
