Medical City Fort Worth, part of Medical City Healthcare, seeks a Cardiac Surgeon to join an established employed practice with coverage across Medical City Fort Worth, Medical City Alliance and Medical City North Hills serving the Fort Worth metroplex.

Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible by ABTS, eligible for a Texas medical license, and prepared to collaborate with cardiology, anesthesia, ICU and surgical services in a high-volume cardiovascular program that includes LVAD,

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery (ABTS)
• Eligibility for Texas medical license
• Experience in a collaborative, multidisciplinary cardiovascular team
• Proficiency in coronary revascularization and valve repair/replacement
• Experience with LVAD, TAVR, minimally invasive cardiac surgery, robotic thoracic surgery and ECMO

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive cardiothoracic surgical care within a multi-hospital system
• Cover services across Medical City Fort Worth, Alliance and North Hills
• Collaborate with cardiology, anesthesia, critical care and surgical services
• Contribute to program growth, quality and outcomes in a high-volume program

Job Summary

Medical City Healthcare is seeking a Cardiac Surgeon to join an established and growing employed practice, with coverage across Medical City Fort Worth, Medical City Alliance and Medical City North Hills serving the greater Fort Worth metroplex.

Qualified Candidates

• Physician must be board-certified or board-eligible by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery
• Eligibility for a Texas medical license is required
• We are open to both experienced surgeons and new graduates who are looking to join a dynamic, collaborative team
• Strong team-oriented approach and ability to collaborate across interdisciplinary teams including cardiology, anesthesia, critical care, and surgical services
• Coronary revascularization, valve repair and replacement
• Advanced programs include LVAD, TAVR, minimally invasive cardiac surgery, robotic thoracic surgery, aortic surgery, and ECMO
• Facilities include a 16 bed CVICU, four heart surgery rooms, dedicated perfusion services, one hybrid ORs, and robust EP and Cath lab support
• Position is based at Medical City Fort Worth, with coverage responsibilities across three Medical City hospitals within the Fort Worth metroplex
• Join an experienced team that includes three cardiothoracic surgeons and three advanced practice providers
• Dedicated cardiac anesthesiology team
• Collaborative care model alongside 25+ Interventional Cardiologists
