This hospital-employed role offers the opportunity to contribute to a growing cardiovascular and structural heart program, allowing you to focus on advanced surgical care while working alongside a collaborative and experienced surgical team.

Quick Facts

• Employment Type: Full Time, Employed
• Schedule / Hours: Mix of OR, inpatient, and clinic responsibilities
• Call: Shared call rotation with three cardiothoracic surgeons
• Patient Volume: Established program with continued growth
• Location: Denison, Texas (60 miles north of Dallas)
• Practice Setting: Regional referral center with advanced surgical services
• Support / Care Team: Three employed surgeons, cardiology team, APPs, and full hospital support staff
• EMR / Technology: Advanced surgical technology including hybrid ORs and robotics

Responsibilities

• Perform a comprehensive range of cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures
• Participate in the development and expansion of the structural heart program
• Utilize robotics-assisted surgical techniques (experience preferred but not required)
• Collaborate with cardiologists, surgeons, APPs, and multidisciplinary care teams
• Manage perioperative and inpatient care responsibilities
• Document patient care using hospital EMR system
