AMN Healthcare is seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician for locum tenens coverage in Texas. Schedule: two weekends per month, Friday morning through Monday morning, with 24-hour call and rounds 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Requirements include board certification (or eligible), active Texas medical license, and credentialing within 60–90 days. EMR systems: Meditech currently, Epic beginning Oct 30. Inpatient cardiothoracic cases with cardiac cath lab support.

Qualifications

• Active Texas medical license is required.
• Board certification; board-eligible candidates will be considered.
• Schedule requires two weekends per month, Friday morning to Monday morning.
• Rounding hours are 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with 24‑hour call coverage.

Start Date: ASAP. Available Shifts: Call 10;24;On Call Pay Rate: $3104.00 - $3360.00

This facility is seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Details & requirements for this opportunity:

Schedule: Two weekends per month, Friday morning through Monday morning. Hospital rounding 8:00 AM-5:00 PM with 24-hour call coverage.

Practice Setting: Inpatient cardiothoracic surgery.

Types of Cases: Cardiothoracic surgery and support for cardiac catheterization laboratory procedures.

Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90 days; emergency privileges will be requested.

Electronic Medical Record: Meditech currently; switching to Epic on October 30.

Certifications Required: Board Certification, will consider truly Board Eligible.

Licensure Required: Active Texas medical license.
