Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician for locum tenens coverage in Worcester, MA. The position runs 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with an ASAP start and coverage through January 4, 2027 to September 30, 2027. Inpatient and outpatient duties include inpatient consults and EP procedures such as PPM/ICD/CRT implants, SVT and VT ablations.

DEA and CSR certifications are required, as is Board Certification and a Massachusetts license. Epic EMR will be used for documentation.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts license is required.

• Board Certification is required.
• Epic EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide cardiothoracic surgery care in inpatient and outpatient settings, including inpatient consults.
• Perform electrophysiology-related procedures and device implants as part of the program.
• Cover the scheduled shifts as a locum tenens physician according to the 8:00 AM–5:00 PM pattern.

This facility is seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Details and requirements for this opportunity:

• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM; coverage needed January 4, 2027 through September 30, 2027.
• Practice Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient; inpatient consults
• Types of Cases: Electrophysiology procedures including Permanent Pacemaker (PPM), Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD), Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy (CRT) device implants, Supraventricular Tachycardia (SVT) ablations, and Ventricular Tachycardia (VT) ablations
• Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90 days
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Epic
• Certifications Required: Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration, and Controlled Substance Registration (CSR), Board Certified
• Licensure Required: Massachusetts license
