Job summary

UCSF Medical Center in San Francisco is seeking a Physician Assistant to join the Cardiothoracic (CT) Surgery inpatient team. You will work closely with CT Surgeons, Fellows, and intensivists to manage patients across the ICU and floor, perform bedside procedures, and assist in the operating room as needed.

The ideal candidate has ARC-PA accreditation, CA PA license, and 1 year of inpatient cardiac surgery experience with EVH and radial artery harvest.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a PA Program accredited by the ARC-PA.
• 1 year of inpatient cardiac surgery experience in the ICU & floor setting.
• Experience as first or second assist in the OR including EVH and radial artery harvest.
• Experience with management of ECMO, heart transplant, complex aortic, CABG and valvular surgeries.

Responsibilities

• Manage patients across the ICU and floor in the CT surgery service.
• Perform bedside procedures.
• Assist in the operating room as needed.
