Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (NP/PA) for locum tenens coverage in Billings, Montana. The assignment runs 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with weekend call responsibilities and both inpatient and outpatient duties in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery.

The ideal candidate will hold board certification, BLS, and be eligible for credentialing within about 90 days.

Qualifications

• Board Certification required to practice in cardiothoracic surgery.
• BLS certification required for clinical duties.
• Cerner EMR familiarity or experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery cases in OR and on the floor.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient coverage, including rounds.
• Support OR, hospital rounds, and clinic duties as needed.
• Work schedule 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with at least one weekend call per month.
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 90 days.

This facility is seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant(NP) for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Details and requirements for this opportunity:

• Schedule: Clinical hours 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM; Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call; expected to take at least one weekend call per month
• Practice Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient
• Types of Cases: Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery; OR assist, hospital rounding, and clinic as needed
• Credentialing Timeframe: 90 days
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Cerner
• Certifications Required: BLS
• Licensure Required: Board Certification Required
