Job summary

Market Street Staffing in Billings, MT seeks an experienced advanced practice provider (CT surgery-focused) to cover inpatient, operating room, and call responsibilities. The role supports long-term permanent search with credentialing in 90 days and Epic EMR usage.

The ideal candidate holds an MSN/MPAS with board certification, Montana APRN/PA licensure, and at least 1 year in cardiothoracic surgery or equivalent. Independent contractor (1099) position with travel benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Board certification required.
• Active Montana APRN license and NP certification or Montana PA license and NCCPA.
• 1 year CT surgery experience or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Prescribe medications and manage chronic conditions.
• Provide patient education and counseling on healthy lifestyle choices.
• Perform procedures as permitted by state regulations and APP specialty.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care.

PracticeSetting:

• Inpatient, OR and Call coverage

Schedule:

• 4 10-hour shifts per week
• Will consider 7 on/7 off schedule
• 1:4 rotating night call
• 1:5 rotating weekend coverage with call

Credentialing:

Requirements:

• Board certification
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum1-year Cardiothoracic Surgery experience or equivalent

Education:

Licenses& Certifications:

• Activeand unencumbered advanced practice registered nurse(APRN) license in Montana
• Nationalcertification as an NP in a relevant specialty area by arecognized certifying body (e.g., American Academy ofNurse Practitioners [AANP])
• Activeand unencumbered physician assistant (PA) license in Montana
• Nationalcertification from the National Commission onCertification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)

Experience:

• Whilespecific requirements may vary, most locum APP positionsprefer candidates with at least one year of experiencein a clinical setting relevant to their specialty

Travel:
