Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise seeks an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to join our Cardiothoracic Surgery team. The role focuses on the first assist in open heart and thoracic procedures, inpatient care coordination, and CVICU management.

You will work closely with Cardiothoracic Surgeons and a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care, participate in daily rounds, and support the step-down unit. Idaho license and operative experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted physician assistant or nurse practitioner license in Idaho.
• Valid controlled substance registration in Idaho; Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
• Vein harvest experience required.
• Experience in cardiac disease management in a clinical setting.
• Oregon medical licensure to maintain internal program across communities.

Responsibilities

• First assist in all cardiac and thoracic operations.
• Manage the CVICU and the step-down unit.
• Collaborate with CT surgeons in inpatient care as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
