Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the Cardiothoracic Surgery program in Wheat Ridge, CO. You will first assist complex cardiac and thoracic cases, manage ICU patients, and provide post-op care across clinics and hospital wards.

The role requires CO licensure, 2 years CT surgery First Assist experience, and proficiency in endoscopic vein harvesting, with a competitive base salary, call pay, and a sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited Physician assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
Licensed as PA or NP in CO or able to obtain CO DEA and full prescriptive authority.
Minimum of 2 years as a First Assist PA or NP in a CT Surgery setting.
Minimum of 1 year experience with endoscopic vein harvesting for bypass procedures.

Responsibilities

First assist in cardiac/thoracic surgeries; minimal vascular case load including dialysis access.
Place Foley catheters and invasive lines; ICU/ telemetry rounding and discharges.
Clinic coverage for post-op patients; participate in 24-hour call coverage and weekend rounding.
