Job summary

Mercy Health Springfield Regional Medical Center in Springfield, Ohio, seeks a fellowship-trained Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join a highly skilled multispecialty group. The role focuses on comprehensive cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery, including robotic and minimally invasive approaches.

You will lead open-heart, lung and vascular procedures, with involvement in pre/postoperative care, clinics, and multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Fellowship-trained cardiothoracic surgeon with BC/BE status.
• Experience in open-heart, thoracic and vascular procedures.
• Proficient in robotic and minimally invasive approaches.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive surgical care for cardiac, thoracic, and vascular conditions.
• Perform CABG, valve repair/replacement, and aneurysm repair.
• Conduct open-heart, lung, and vascular surgeries.
• Utilize robotic and minimally invasive techniques to improve outcomes.
• Manage preoperative and postoperative care including ICU rounds.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, pulmonologists and surgeons on treatment plans.
• Participate in ambulatory clinics and candidate evaluations.
• Engage in multidisciplinary quality improvement initiatives.
