Job summary

Mercy Health Springfield Regional Medical Center in Springfield, Ohio seeks a fellowship-trained Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join a collegial multispecialty group and advance a robust cardiac program.

Provide comprehensive surgical care for cardiac, thoracic and vascular diseases, perform open-heart and minimally invasive operations, and collaborate with cardiology, pulmonology and vascular teams to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive surgical care for cardiac, thoracic and vascular conditions in hospital and ambulatory settings.
• Perform open-heart, lung and vascular surgeries including CABG, valve repair/replacement, aneurysm repair and lung resections.
• Utilize robotic and minimally invasive techniques to enhance patient outcomes.
• Manage preoperative and postoperative care including ICU rounds and outpatient follow-ups.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, pulmonologists, vascular surgeons and advanced clinicians to develop treatment plans.
• Participate in ambulatory clinics evaluating new consultations, follow-up patients and surgical candidates.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
