Job summary

LocumTenens.com seeks a board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon to provide inpatient coverage on a 24-hour shift with 24-hour call at an on-site Paducah, Kentucky facility. Responsibilities include adult cardiac surgery (CABG with internal mammary arteries and radial conduits), valve repair and replacement, and general thoracic procedures, with ICU oversight for high-acuity cases.

On-site resources and a hybrid OR/cath lab are available during the assigned coverage period; call is required for

Qualifications

• Board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon with CT surgical privileges.
• Experience in adult cardiac surgery and complex thoracic procedures preferred.
• Ability to provide inpatient coverage on a 24-hour shift and 24-hour call.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient cardiothoracic surgical coverage.
• Perform adult cardiac surgery including CABG with IMA and radial conduits; valve repair/replacement.
• Manage ICU care for high-acuity cardiac patients; support hybrid OR and cath lab as needed.
