BAS HealthCare seeks a Physician Assistant for Cardiothoracic surgery in Springfield, OH. This locum role runs 9/8/2026–9/18/2026 with potential ongoing coverage 1–2 weeks per month through 2027. Schedule is Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm, with on-call; weekends on-site.

Responsibilities include postoperative care, assisting in surgery, vein harvesting, ED/Cath Lab referrals, and Epic EMR documentation. Requires active Ohio license, vascular board certification, ACLS/DEA, and 5+ years in

Qualifications

• Active Ohio license required.
• Board certification in Vascular Surgery required.
• ACLS and DEA registrations required.
• Minimum 5 years in cardiothoracic/vascular surgery.

Responsibilities

• Provide post-operative care for cardiothoracic/vascular patients.
• Assist in surgery and coordinate care with the ED, Cath Lab and hospital teams.
• Take consults and referrals, perform vein harvesting, and document in EMR.
