Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, Virginia is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Surgical Lead for the Cardiothoracic Team. The role requires overseeing surgical cases, coordinating with physicians and staff, and ensuring high-quality nursing care across perioperative phases.

The ideal candidate has 2 years OR RN experience with 6 months in Cardiothoracic settings, Virginia or compact-state licensure, and relevant certifications (CNOR preferred; CPR/BLS and ACLS on hire).

Qualifications

• 2 years OR RN experience required.
• 6 months Cardiothoracic OR RN OR experience preferred.
• Active RN license in Virginia or compact state on hire.
• CPR/BLS, ACLS certifications required on hire.
• CNOR certification preferred and required on hire if applicable.

Responsabilités

• Oversee cardiothoracic surgical cases with interdisciplinary team coordination.
• Assess and plan nursing care for cardiothoracic patients pre/intra/post op.
• Ensure high-quality patient outcomes and adherence to standards.
• Coordinate with physicians, staff, vendors, and leadership for case preparation.
