Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist's Cardiothoracic Surgery Department in Winston-Salem and High Point, North Carolina, seeks an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our surgical team and support cases across sites with collaborative, patient-centered care.

Join a team of 5 cardiac surgeons, 2 thoracic surgeons, and 21 APPs, with rotating weekends and nights; we offer CME reimbursement up to $2,500, 5 additional PTO days/year, relocation assistance of $7,500, and strong

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in nursing or physician assistant program (ACNP/PA).
• Current NC license and board certification as NP or PA.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct examinations and evaluations in surgical settings.
• Collaborate with attending surgeons and APPs for patient care.
• Order, interpret labs and imaging; explain procedures to patients.
• Participate in education and scholarly activities.
• Precept students and/or medical learners when possible.
