Job summary

CHI Health Omaha is seeking an Cardiothoracic Surgery Unit Advanced Practice Provider to contribute to Heart Care as part of a growing team.

You will round on hospitalized patients, perform critical cardiovascular assessments for pre- or post-operative care and work with the Division Chief of Cardiac Surgery to guide care decisions. Your collaboration and bedside skills will be essential for exceptional patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited advanced practice training program (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant).
• Meet board eligibility or certification requirements.
• Active or eligible license in the state of Nebraska.
• Strong floor and bedside skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Round on hospitalized patients and provide critical care cardiovascular assessments for pre- or post-operative surgery.
• Collaborate with the Division Chief of Cardiac Surgery and the physician team to inform team-based care decisions.
• Support the care team with timely information for decision making.
