The Staff Pad is hiring a Cardiothoracic Advanced Practice Provider (APP) (NP/PA) to support care for cardiac and thoracic patients in Fort Worth, TX. The APP will work with Cardiothoracic Surgeons in both inpatient and outpatient settings, assisting in surgeries and coordinating treatment plans to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care throughout the surgical journey.

Responsibilities include operating room support, rounding, preoperative and postoperative clinics, and comprehensive care

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program or AGACNP with RNFA certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an advanced practice provider in cardiothoracic surgery; 5+ years preferred.
• Current Texas licensure to practice in the APRN/PA role.
• BLS and ACLS certification obtainable within 60 days of hire and maintained.
• Unit-specific orientation within 90 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate inpatient and outpatient care with the cardiothoracic surgeon and team.
• Provide operating room support, including first assisting and vessel harvesting.
• Perform ICU and inpatient rounds, consultations, and discharge planning.
• Cover preoperative clinics and postoperative follow-up visits.
• Deliver comprehensive cardiothoracic care: assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
• Maintain licensure, credentials, and required certifications.
