Job summary

Hartford HealthCare's Greater Manchester Region is seeking a Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Specialist to provide care to adult and geriatric cardiac and pulmonary patients, including telemetry monitoring, prescribed exercise, education, and psychosocial support within a collaborative healthcare team.

The role involves assisting with Cardiac Holter monitor application, removal, and scanning, developing care plans, evaluating outcomes, and coordinating with other disciplines to meet patient needs.

Qualifications

• B.S. in a related field required or strongly preferred.
• BCLS/ACLS certification preferred on hire or within 90 days and maintained during employment.
• EP-C or CEP certification from ACSM strongly preferred or within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Care for adult and geriatric cardiac and/or pulmonary patients in telemetry monitoring, exercise, education and psychosocial support.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Assist with Cardiac Holter monitor application, removal and scanning.

The Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Specialist functions within the healthcare team as a professional caregiver who provides quality care to patients and their families. The Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Specialist provides care to the adult and geriatric cardiac and/or pulmonary patient in telemetry monitoring, exercise, education, and psychosocial support. The Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Specialist collaborates with other disciplines in the assessment of patient care needs, implementation of patient care, development of the care plan, evaluation of patient outcomes and the effectiveness of work. Assist with Cardiac Holter monitor application, removal, and scanning.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Health/Fitness, or related field.
• BCLS/ACLS certified upon hire is strongly preferred or receive certification within 90 days of hire and maintain clinical competency during employment within this role.
• EP-C or CEP Certification from the ACSM strongly preferred at the time of hire or receive certification within 90 days of hire and maintain clinical competency during employment within this role.
