Job summary

Liberty Regional Medical Center in Georgia is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide direct care across respiratory therapies, oxygen needs, EKGs, and stress testing with rehabilitation services. The role covers neonates to geriatrics and reports to the Director of Cardiopulmonary Services.

Requirements include an A.S. in Respiratory Therapy (BS preferred), active Georgia license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP within 90 days, and 1 year of experience with 6 months ICU exposure.

Qualifications

• Educational level equivalent to two years of college with an A.S. in Respiratory Therapy.
• BS in Respiratory Therapy preferred.
• Formal training: advanced pulmonary assessment skills preferred.
• Current Registered Therapy License in Georgia; BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP within 90 days of employment.
• Preferably 1 year in respiratory therapy with 6 months critical care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for respiratory therapies, oxygen needs, EKGs, stress tests and rehabilitation services.
• Deliver safe cardiopulmonary rehabilitation across neonatal to geriatric populations.

JOB SUMMARYThis position is for a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) whose responsibility is to provide direct patient care related to respiratory therapies, oxygen needs, EKG’s, stress tests and appropriate rehabilitation services, in accordance with accreditation standards, federal, state, and local regulations, organizational and departmental policies and procedures and professional standards. Provides safe and efficient cardiopulmonary rehabilitation to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient populations. The position reports to the Director of Cardiopulmonary Services.JOB QUALIFICATIONSMinimum level of Education: Educational Level equivalent to completion of two (2) years of college with A.S in Respiratory Therapy, BS in Respiratory Therapy preferred.Formal Training: Advanced pulmonary assessment skills required preferred.Licensure, Certifications & Registration: Current Registered Therapy License in the state of Georgia. BLS required. ACLS, PALS, NRP required within 90 days of employment.Work Experience: Preferably one (1) year experience in respiratory therapy with six (6) months critical care experience. Basic computer skills necessary.
