Job summary

Saint Francis Veterinary Specialists in Decatur, GA seeks a Veterinary Technician to join its Cardiology service. You will support the cardiologist, assist with diagnostic procedures, and contribute to high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Ideal candidates have experience with ECG, Holter, echocardiography, and venous access; LVT preferred. The role includes client communication and maintaining medical records with Thrive Pet Healthcare backing.

Qualifications

• LVT preferred with phlebotomy/IV placement experience.
• Familiar with central line maintenance and Doppler BP measurement.
• Experience with ECG, Holter monitoring, and echocardiography.

Responsibilities

• Support cardiologist to ensure quality veterinary care and educate clients.
• Assist cardiologist and medical team to maximize productivity and patient flow.
• Assist with procedures per Georgia Veterinary Practice Act for credentialed techs.
• Communicate health concerns and home care guidance to clients; document follow-ups.
• Maintain comprehensive medical records with practice systems support.
• Obtain health histories from clients and manage medical charts.
• Assist in transferring records to tertiary hospitals when needed.
• Use safe restraining techniques and keep treatment areas organized.
• 6- and 12-lead ECG in house; Holter system application and data upload.
