Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a PRN Non-Invasive Cardiology Technologist to provide high-quality, age-appropriate care for ECG, pacemaker analysis and stress testing. The role supports safe patient care within a pediatric cardiology setting.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree or Cardiology Technologist certification, BLS within 30 days, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Certification in Cardiology Technology.
• Good understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology and arrhythmias.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs electrocardiogram procedures for interpretation with age-related and developmental considerations.
• Performs cardiopulmonary exercise testing and stress echo testing with respiratory gas measurements.
• Performs Holter monitoring placement and analysis.
• Performs tilt table exams and analysis.
• Assists with pacemaker clinic as directed by physician.
• Ensures accuracy of all patient documentation.
• Maintains professional development and participates in departmental goals.

Job Description

To provide the highest quality age-appropriate care within the scope of practice and established standards for electrocardiography, pacemaker analysis, and cardiac stress testing. Performs prescribed Non-Invasive Cardiology testing to identified patients. To proactively support the efforts that ensures delivery of safe patient care and services and to promote a safe environment at Children's.

Experience

• N/A

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in cardiology
• Experience in pediatrics
• Possess an understanding of electrocardiograms
• Training in exercise stress testing

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or Certified Cardiology Technologist

Certification Summary

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of employment

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Good understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology and arrhythmias
• Must possess excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
