Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a skilled Cardiology Technologist to perform ECG procedures, treadmill stress testing, and Holter monitoring for pediatric patients in a high-quality, patient-centered setting.

Responsibilities include accurate data collection, test interpretation, and collaboration with physicians to ensure safe, efficient care. BLS certification within 30 days is preferred, with opportunities for growth in a leading children's hospital.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of electrocardiography, rhythm interpretation, and age-related testing protocols.
• Experience with pediatric patients and family-centered care.
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs electrocardiograms (ECG) with age-appropriate considerations.
• Conducts cardiopulmonary exercise testing and related assessments.
• Places and analyzes Holter monitors.
• Supports pacemaker clinic as directed by physician.
• Ensures accurate patient documentation and ongoing professional development.

Job Description

To provide the highest quality age-appropriate care within the scope of practice and established standards for electrocardiography, pacemaker analysis, and cardiac stress testing. Performs prescribed Non-Invasive Cardiology testing to identified patients. To proactively support the efforts that ensures delivery of safe patient care and services and to promote a safe environment at Children's.

Experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in cardiology
• Experience in pediatrics
• Possess an understanding of electrocardiograms
• Training in exercise stress testing

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or Certified Cardiology Technologist

Certification Summary

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of employment

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Good understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology and arrhythmias
• Must possess excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills

Job Responsibilities

• Performs electrocardiogram procedures for interpretation incorporating age related and developmental specific requirements.
• Performs cardiopulmonary exercise testing and stress echo testing with respiratory gas measurements and spirometry in a clinical setting incorporating age related and developmental specific requirements.
• Performs Holter monitor placement and analysis incorporating age related and developmental specific requirements.
• Performs tilt table exams and analysis incorporating age related and developmental specific requirements.
• Assist with pacemaker clinic as directed by physician incorporating age related and developmental specific requirements.
• Ensures accuracy of all patient documentation.
• Maintains professional development.
• Participates in the achievement of organizational and departmental goals.
• Performs related responsibilities as required.
