Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, OH is seeking a Non-Invasive Diagnostics technician to support the Heart Center. The role performs diagnostic testing including EKG, rhythm strips, Holter/Zio monitoring, and 30-day event monitoring across clinic, inpatient, and outpatient settings.

You will prepare patients, explain procedures, document results, and collaborate with care teams while maintaining safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Post-Secondary school within a healthcare related field, preferred.
• BLS, required.
• One year of healthcare related experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists providers in conducting diagnostic tests within clinic, inpatient, and outpatient areas.
• Prepares effectively for the testing and explains testing procedure at different levels based on patient age.
• Records information obtained from diagnostic tests accurately and provides quality reports to ordering providers.
• Communicates compassionately and effectively with patients and caregivers.
• Collaborates across boundaries with teamwork related behaviors.
• Assists with other clerical responsibilities such as billing and auditing, cleaning and disinfection of equipment, and answering the telephone.
