Job summary

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; healthcare-related post-secondary education preferred.
  • CPR certification required.
  • 1 year of healthcare-related experience preferred.
  • Ability to work with patients of all ages (pediatric to adult).
  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Schedules multidisciplinary testing procedures and monitors patient/staff flow within the area.
  • Assists in coordinating diagnostic tests.
  • Performs basic cardiac testing (EKG) and applies heart monitoring devices; provides reports to providers.
  • Facilitates diagnostic outside interpretations.
  • Provides timely billing and auditing support.
  • Transfers echocardiographic images electronically to/from outside institutions.
  • Performs clerical tasks for diagnostic testing, including documentation and records management.

Overview

Fulltime, Benefits eligible role Day shift, Mon-Fr. Job Description Summary: Rotates support alongside Sonographers; Exercise Physiologists and Technicians; Monitor Specialists; and Cardiology Technicians for daily clinical and clerical processes. Requires an extensive understanding of the products and services performed by the department with a focus on high-impact activities.

Essential Functions
  • Schedules multidisciplinary testing procedures; monitors patient/staff flow and operation within assigned area.
  • Assists in coordinating diagnostic tests.
  • Performs basic cardiac testing procedures according to test requests such as EKG, and application of heart monitoring devices; provides quality reports to ordering providers.
  • Facilitates diagnostic outside interpretations.
  • Provides timely and efficient billing and auditing processes.
  • Facilitates electronic transfer of echocardiographic images to and from outside institutions.
  • Provides clerical tasks associated with advanced and routine diagnostic testing procedures, including interpretation facilitation, distribution, verbal and written correspondence, documentation, and records management.
Education Requirement

High school graduate or equivalent, required. Post‑Secondary school within a healthcare related field preferred.

Certifications

CPR certification, required.

Experience

1 year of healthcare related experience, preferred.
