Job Description

Performs ECG diagnostic testing, Holter and cardiac event monitor placement, implantable device assessment/remote interrogation, and manages electronic clinical workflow and results data.

1. ECG Acquisition: Demonstrates the cognitive and technical skills required to acquire a 12-lead electrocardiogram (ECG), including skin preparation, electrode and lead placement, patient identification and verification, electronic download of the ECG order to the cardiograph, waveform acquisition and storage, and electronic upload to the enterprise ECG management system.
2. Workflow Coordination: Coordinates ECG routing and clinical workflow to support electronic interpretation by Cardiology fellow and attending MD.
3. Monitor Application: Demonstrates skills to apply Holter or cardiac event monitors, including patient verification, skin preparation, and correct electrode placement.
4. Device Proficiency: Proficient in configuration, communication, clinical use, and troubleshooting of FDA-approved medical devices such as cardiographs, Holter monitors, and other heart rhythm remote monitoring equipment.
5. Additional Duties: Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Position Details

Compensation Range: $15.37 - $23.82 hourly.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: No prior experience required.
• Licensure: AHA BLS certification must be obtained within six months of hire.

Physical Demands

Requires prolonged sitting/standing, frequent bending/stooping/traveling, reaching (overhead and extensive/repetitive), keyboard and workstation use, and the ability to lift/push/pull 20-50 lbs. May be exposed to blood, body fluids, and infectious diseases.
