Job summary

Mission Health in Asheville, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Medical Cardiology Step-Down unit. You will provide compassionate, evidence-based care to adults with complex cardiac and medical conditions, including comprehensive assessments and telemetry monitoring.

You will collaborate with physicians and an interdisciplinary team, educate patients and families, and support safe transitions of care.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing.
• BLS/ACLS recommended or required.
• prior experience in cardiac/telemetry nursing is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments of adult patients.
• Monitor cardiac status and telemetry data.
• Administer medications accurately and timely.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.
• Educate patients and families about conditions and care plans.
• Facilitate safe transitions of care between units and to discharge.
