Job summary

SouthCoast Health in Savannah, GA is seeking a Full-Time Scheduler for our Cardiology Department to manage patient appointments efficiently and accurately. The role requires excellent communication, professionalism, and prior experience in a medical office or imaging setting.

You will handle scheduling, update patient demographics in the system, coordinate with providers, and support non-clinical duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical office or imaging department setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Experience with switchboard operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make and schedule patient appointments efficiently.
• Book, coordinate and reschedule appointments; relay messages to staff.
• Schedule new and existing patients with providers; arrange interpreter if needed.
• Update patient demographics in the scheduling system.
• Maintain physician schedules and confirm appointments.
• Answer phones, screen calls, provide general information.
• Handle cancellations/additions in master schedule; notify staff as appropriate.
• Perform other non-clinical duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
