Job summary

AdventHealth in Winter Park, Florida is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the AHMG Cardiology team. You will support cardiologists and APPs, perform essential nursing duties, read ECGs, and assist with pacemaker/defibrillator management.

Responsibilities include coordinating procedures, ensuring sterile technique, and providing thorough post-procedural care, with focus on patient safety and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Requires RN licensure with Florida eligibility or active RN license.
• Experience supervising exercise stress tests (nuclear, treadmill, stress echo, chemical).
• Strong ECG reading skills and interpretation ability.
• Proven leadership capabilities and ability to motivate teams.
• Demonstrated organization, planning, and patient-care focus.
• Commitment to confidentiality and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Assist cardiologists and APPs with in-office procedures and clinics.
• Perform general nursing activities to ensure quality patient care.
• Read and interpret electrocardiograms accurately.
• Interrogate and adjust pacemaker/defibrillator devices with cardiologists.
• Maintain sterile technique and proper injection procedures.
• Provide post-procedural follow-up and manage anticoagulation under guidance.
• Prepare equipment and aid physicians during procedures and exams.
• Maintain inventory and ensure medication safety.
• Perform minor procedures independently under direction.
• Supervise stress tests including nuclear, treadmill, and chemical stress tests.
