Job summary

Qualifications

• Two or more years of cardiac nursing experience preferred.
• ADN required, BSN preferred.
• BH Dysrhythmia and IV competency are preferred or to be completed upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates organizational skills that maintain safe delivery of care; administers medications and treatments per policy.
• Conducts age-appropriate assessments; develops and evaluates the patient's plan of care.
• Recognizes acute changes in patient status and intervenes appropriately.
• Develops an educational plan for patient/family and documents accordingly.
• Interacts with the team to support clinical decision making and performance improvement initiatives.
• Ensures patient dignity, privacy, and participation in care; escalates concerns to leadership when needed.
• Develops discharge plans and coordinates with community resources; communicates plans with patient/family.
• Participates in interdisciplinary rounds and unit decision making; completes annual competencies.
